Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Most printing problems are caused by artwork setup issues. Taking a few extra minutes to prepare your files correctly will result in crisp cuts, accurate colors, and a smooth production process.

Need help or unsure if your file is ready? Visit our Artwork Setup Guidelines for detailed instructions.

Design Best Practices

Keep all important text and graphics at least 1/16" inside the cut line (safe padding zone).

Add a 1/8" bleed around your design for full-bleed printing.

Outline all fonts and embed linked images.

Our Proofing Process

Every file is carefully reviewed by our in-house design team before production begins. If we catch anything that needs attention, we will definitely notify you but please note it's your responsibility to ensure your label is correct.

You will receive a free digital proof for your review and approval before we start production on your order. This is your chance to catch any issues before we print your labels and make any last-minute edits if needed.

The difference between a low resolution art file and a high resolution file of a 300 dpi minimum can make all the difference in the final product.

Artwork Requirements

Resolution: 300 DPI at final print size minimum (vector files are strongly preferred).

Color Mode: CMYK only (convert any Pantone or RGB colors to CMYK).

Preferred Formats: Vector PDF or Adobe Illustrator (.AI) files.

Accepted Formats: PDF, AI, PSD, JPG, PNG, TIFF, EPS.

Finishes

Which finish to select

The choice between gloss and matte lamination depends on your product’s branding, usage environment, and the impression you want to make. Both finishes provide protection from fading and are both water and oil resistant.

Matte

You prefer a sophisticated, modern look with minimal glare and a soft-touch feel. Matte finish will slightly mute the colors and won't be as vibrant as a gloss finish.

Gloss

Want vibrant, eye-catching labels with maximum color contrast and added durability. Gloss is also the best selection when using it with oil products or other products that might require the label to be wiped.
